Functional Ease clients wanted to move their craft supplies into a closet in their home. 

The closet has some unconventional dimensions - the roof of the closet is angled and the closet was quite deep. It was challenging to figure out how to use the space.

For this project, the client decided to repurpose a hutch and installed casters. This approach keeps all the materials organized and labeled but also neatly tucked away until they are needed. Also, we were able to repurpose buckets and bins the client already had, which helped keep costs down.

In additional to the repurposed hutch, we used stacked crates on casters to store material for sewing projects. By using casters, objects can be easily moved which is useful in deeper spaces like closets.

During this project, we mapped out what was causing a family to get stuck when it comes to mail. With one person going back and forth from Seattle, another person trying to keep up with mail, and a former roommate getting their mail delivered to the house - it was tough to figure out what to do with everything. 

We decided to give each person their own "mailbox", plus mail they needed to review together goes in the "on hold" box. The former roommate has a folder for their mail, so they can easily pick up their mail when they visit.
